If you can avoid it, try not to take the metro in Tokyo anytime near the heightened hours. As you can see above, Marie and I made that mistake today and suffered greatly from it.
Our day was busy as per usual, there were what seemed like endless castings from 1 till 10 o'clock. At one point, we were literally driving back and forth between two different points in the city and it was taking anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to reach a destination. Sometime before dinner apparently each girl in the van fell asleep except Sheena, our driver. Poor thing had to keep pushing on to help us make it everywhere on time!
In the evening, Marie and I had plans with a few friends to have dinner in one of Tokyo's tallest skyscrapers but the day ended up lasting far longer than either of us imagined so we had to cancel. Plus, both Marie and I have jobs tomorrow so we needed to head home and rest up for our busy days!
